I leave for CA tomorrow morning at 6:30am... x.x;; I really wish I had time to put up the new layout, I was so close to finishing too! x.x; Oh well, they'll be time when I come back. If any of the hotels I stay in have internet access, I'll blog... but until then... hasta!

I scanned another mini comic I drew. It's pretty dumb, but cute nonetheless.
Woohoo! I've finally started a new layout for this blog. I'm really happy with how it's coming out so far...
I finally found it! I've been looking for "Joga" by Bjork for the past two days and I found it on the music thingy that Kimi told me about. *shrug* I dunno what it is though... but yaaay! It's such a pretty song, too! I think I'm going to use some of the lyrics in my next layout. (You can view the lyrics here.) I also downloaded hyper-ballad, which is also really good. ^^ Kyaah... must buy Homogenic! *sob*

Yah! ^~ I leave for Cali in three days! I'm so excited! Unfortunately, I found the website for the Nihonmachi Street Fair in San Francisco's Japantown. I really want to go, but it takes place August 11th and 12th... by then I'll be in San Diego. Humph. Oh well.
I found these pieces of corduroy material in my basement today, so now I have this bug in my head that I want to make a patchwork skirt with the fabric. But I don't have a sewing machine, so I'd have to do all the sewing by hand... which would be a major pain in the ass. Out of boredom, I drew a mini comic to send to my camp friend, Laura. (who I got a letter from today... YAY!) I make a ton of those mini-people comix and send them to friends, etc. But they're cute-looking, so I guess I might as well scan them. ^^ Hope you enjoy this one!

Friday, July 27, 2001 = 11:36 p.m.
Back from camp! (Actually, I came back on Monday, but I was too lazy to blog. ^^;;) It was a great time and I already miss it... (I cried on the ride home... then I cried again when I got my SATII scores... waah...) But all in all, it was fun. I will miss it though. When I think about it, I spent 1/3 of my summers there. 5 years at that camp and I'm 15 yrs old. I still can't figure out what on earth made me want to go back each year... o.O;;; Oh well.
Today was the best day I've had all week. The night before I slept over at my friend Lori's house and Clara stayed with us until 11PM. (Clara's moving to Korea, so I REALLY hope I'll get to see her again before she leaves on August 1st.) We watched The Emperor's New Groove... the movie was ADORABLE! (teehee... llamas are funny...) Then the next day, I went with Lori to the camp she works at. She's a counselor at nature, so basically she does puppet shows and plays with animals all day. The rest of the nature staff was so sweet... and I got to hold a chinchilla! Those things are so soft... ^^ After camp, I ate pizza and sundaes back at Lori's house. After dinner, etc we walked to my high school. The school was totally empty (besides the people playing tennis outside and people on the track.) We caught fireflies and danced in the sprinklers... I felt like I was little all over again... it was great. I could have sworn I giggled. I don't giggle. Ever.
So here's what's up for the rest of the summer: I leave for California on August 1st then come back August 14th. Then in two days I leave for Puerto Rico and god knows how long I'm staying there. I want to revamp paperdoll revolution and make a new blog layout. It'll be a party...
Oh! Yah! I got linked to from frazzled! I feel special! ^^; keekee...
that's all for now... ^^;

Kyaaa! I have to wake up so early tomorrow morning to leave for camp! x.x; 5AM. Ick. I pretty much packed... I hope I packed everything...
A couple days ago I went to the city with Brette and Madison... kind of my last shopping spree for the month. ^^; We took the train into Grand Central... then went to Kinokuniya. *cough* I spent almost $50 there... ^^;; I got an issue of Ribon magazine, Time Stranger Kyoko, Imadoki #2, this really adorable series Pyua Pyua and a translated FY manga. *meep* Then we went to Sephora... where I also managed to blow a considerable amount of money ^^;; I don't even -like- makeup... but I got this cargo lipgloss stuff... eyeshadow and green eyeliner. I don't know -why- I bought the green eyeliner... but oh well. (The cashier lady even said to me, "You DO know it's GREEN, right?") Anyway...
I come back sometime in the end of July, then in the beginning of August I'm off to California. (Busy summer, ne? @.@;)
I put up a little goodbye thing at paperdoll revolution. I'll put up a new layout when I come back. ^^
Anyway... ja ne minna! ^^

yay! I made a new layout for blurry eyes featuring Kamui. ^^ I scanned a bunch of stuff from the oh-so kawaii Majou no Resson by Natsumi Matsumoto. There are summaries for a bunch of Natsumi Matsumoto's series at Emily's Random Shoujo Manga Page. Some of her other works are Vampire Kiss, Mezamereba Mermaid and Kimi Dake no Devil. ^^ The artwork is so lovely... *bounce!*
Hopefully, I'll go into the city this weekend with Brette and Madison and we'll go to Kinokuniya... hee! Must buy more manga! *cackle* ^^;;
wai! thanks sam! ^^ I will have much fun, but I'll miss everyone! *sigh* I won't survive without the internet... ;.; Yah! ^~ Long live the lobster telephone! *cackle* Next time I'll make a burning giraffe layout... heehee ^^; Just kidding... o.x;

Augh... my bus came early so I missed it and was 20 minutes late to my math final. x.x;; At least it's over though, ne?
I really want to read Girl, Interrupted... I was the movie a few days ago and it was really good. I also want to read Fight Club. ^^ I liked that movie and Clara said the book was really good. I was about to buy it at Borders awhile ago, but it was like $12 for a thin little paperback novel... which is just highway robbery, damnit. >.>;; *mumbles and shakes fist*
Must convince Dad to take me to Kinokuniya over the summer... Kyaaa... ^^;;

Four finals down... one to go!! TOMORROW'S MY LAST DAY!! (plus I have to retake the bio SATIIs on Saturday, but that doesn't *technically* count >.>;) My friends are throwing a surprise party for Clara since she's moving back to Korea this year... ;.; she was only in New York with us for a year. Wah! I'll miss Clara...
I leave for camp on the 27th. I don't know how I'll survive without the internet x.x;; dun dun dunnn... no tv, no fast food either. I'll be gone for 4 weeks so my sites won't be updated.
Taken from New York magazine:
David Letterman's tips for beating the heat in New York City:
10. Carjack a Mr. Softee truck.
9. Seek shade behind one of city's many shirtless fat guys.
8. Remind yourself that our current president is a former cheerleader--this always causes one to shiver.
7. Form a mother-son grifter team; con an elderly woman out of her central-air-conditioned townhouse.
6. Take a tip in the Hudson river and you're looking at a nice, cool ride in an ambulance, my friend!
5. Relax in breeze created by subscription cards falling out of this magazine.
4. Buy ice-cold venti frappuccino from Starbucks; pour it down pants; repeat.
3. If you can stand lame comedy, come sit in the climate-controlled comfort of the Ed Sullivan Theater.
2. Scalp tickets to "The Producers"--use money to buy house in Hamptons.
1. Enjoy refreshing chill standing between Mayor Giuliani and Donna Hanover.
okay, most of them aren't that funny... ^^;; but I get a kick out of number 4. (I guess you have to see the illustration in the magazine of which I'm too lazy to scan ^^;)

Kyaaa... I just took my bio regents and now I have over two hours to kill until my art crtique. I studied for 3 hours last night, staring at 8... *cough* bad planning on my part. I spent all day working on my final painting. I'm so happy, it turned out really good! I'll try to scan it sometime, but I don't think it'll fit on the scanner bed. o.O;; Oh well. Just imagine that it's pretty...
I found all these great collectives! I've been looking at so many nice sites, I can't bookmark all of them! x.x; It kind of inspires me to work on my own site... then I'm like "nyeh..." and get lazy and don't. ^^;;

TOMORROW IS THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!! *runs in circles* KYAAAH!! O.O;;; MY LAST DAY!! (technically my last day in next wednesday when I have my math final, but let's not get technical >.>;;) TOMORROW IS MY LAST DAY!! *cackle*
Yay! I put up a poem! Pretty new layout at kaleidoscope! I used a bunch of scans of my tarot cards. ^^ I think it came out really pretty... I'm proud of this one.

Two more days... two more days... *dances!* I don't think I have to go into school on Thursday 'cause I don't have a final then, but I have my bio regents on Friday... x.x;; Wah... I just took the listening part to my Spanish final, and since I already took the oral, he let me go early... and here I am.
I did a pretty oekaki last night... I'll post it up here later.
Just because I know no one actually reads my blog, I'm going to study for global:
zionism - Jewish nationalism started in the 1980s to promote the establishment of a Jewish homeland in Palestine
In 1956, Israel seized the Suez Canal then Israel took over it but then withdrew
o.o;... I'll shut up now

Friday, June 8, 2001 = 11:50p.m.
Eeesh! Three more days of real school left! (Plus a week of exams... ick.) It was my last friday of the school year... I went to see a movie... Operation: Swordfish... dun dun dunnnn... I thought it was going to be more like Gone in 60 Seconds (I never saw that movie, but I saw the previews ^^;) everything blows up, total chaos, etc, etc... but it actually sort of had a plot (in a sick, twisted way...)
Anyway, afterwards I went to Borders (yes! my favorite store! books and food! what more can you ask for?) Madison and I were looking through all the books on sale. (They had the cutest picture books for $2!) They had a whole bunch of tarot decks which I was looking through. I still like the deck I have better. The pictures on my deck are kind of like collages from old ribbons and lace and such... it's pretty. ^^ (I should scan a few of the cards sometime.) I was so tempted to buy this Impressionist book... I wish I had. It was only $10 and it was this really nice book! I was looking through all these art magazines. I was about to get Art in America, the cover had this cool design of all these weird eyes. It was by this japanese artist who did eyes on these mushrooms representing the mushroom-clouds from the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. See? Pretty cover:

Kyaaa... they also had the weird tattoo magazine. Some guy pierced the bridge of his nose. Sorry, but that just creeps me out. Some other guy had this really pretty lion tattoo on his arm. It was so realistic, it looked like a photo. I can't imagine myself getting a tattoo any time in the future. I can't deal with pain very well.

Surprise! ^^; A new (crappy) layout! I like how the main image turned out, but overall... bleh... ^^; This one won't be up long. That miserable space just above the text is bothering me >.>;;
Weee! I found Shiori's blog today! ^^ I used to practically idolize her sites, but then for awhile I never went on the internet so I stopped looking at them. o.x; I'm so happy I found it again! ^^
^^; I love this sketch. It's one of those ones that I did once and I'll probably never be able to do again. I put some of my sketches here, but it's only a temporary site. ^^; I have so many things to work on it probably isn't going anywhere for awhile.
